Yesterday our nation experienced a tragedy with the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and the death of 6 people attending her “Congress on the Corner” event in Tuscon, including a senior federal district judge. Our prayers go out to all involved and it is encouraging to hear that Giffords seems to be on a possible road to recovery. However, shortly after the shooting it seems everyone wants to jump on the bandwagon with their own agendas and messages. The most disturbing being that of Westboro Baptist Church who will be protesting the funerals of the victims from the shooting. It’s within Westboro’s right to protest the funerals but it’s far from responsible. Read more…
