Are we losing our ability to publicly debate?
This weekend a lot of things are making the news with regards to public debate and demonstration. To start with good old Westboro Church has decided to make San Antonio the latest stop on their insane protest of everything good. What is ironic on this protest round is that they have included Cornerstone Church on the tour. More on that in a second. Twitter, Facebook, and Livejournal came under attack apparently in protest of a professor from the republic of Georgia who spoke out about the ongoing war between the republic and Russia. Finally, during the Congress’ August break when members of Congress go home to “connect” with their constituents teabaggers have decided to take control of the meetings with shouting and disruptive tactics.
